A Collaboration
My mother in law gave me some sarees she wasn't wearing anymore.. She is Tamilian and many of her sarees are cotton stripes. Breathable, breezy, light.
I brought them to the tailoring shop in Shahpur Jat along with a few sketches I'd done and measurements for a general "size medium". Between the studio head and I, we co-designed a lightweight wrap jacket with bell sleeves and an asymmetrical collar. And pockets!

After a muslin sample with a few tweaks, three one-of-a-kind fully lined wrap jackets were born. They come with a separate self belt for waist cinching.
The jacket can be worn many ways- open and flowy, buttoned against the body or waist-cinched with the belt tie.

For our brand labels- we had originally planned to block print on this gorgeous textural organic Kala cotton from Khamir that I'd bought in Bhuj a few years back.
However, block printing didn't turn out as planned! So the studio improvised and embroidered the name on the cotton instead. We love it! We plan to make a more detailed iteration of this for our next collections
The reSaree wraps are available now on our page! We have them here in our Delhi studio, so they will ship in early May once the postal service is up and running
